When the Light Returns

WHEN THE LIGHT RETURNS captures the point at which a landscape seems to hold its breath between day and evening. A luminous horizon opens across the water while a narrow path moves through dense grasses and wildflowers towards the light.

Built through expressive layers of colour and visible brushwork, the painting moves between observation and memory. The darker foreground gives way gradually to gold, creating a sense of distance, possibility and return.
