ORCHESTRA: THE CEMETERY OF CREATIVITY uses the orchestra as a metaphor for the tension between individuality and systems built around coordination, discipline and conformity.
Faceless musicians sit behind music stands transformed into gravestones. Each player enters with an individual consciousness yet is trained to become precise, predictable and almost invisible within the collective. The image asks what can happen when belonging gradually replaces authorship and a person becomes highly skilled at fulfilling expectations while losing contact with an inner voice.
The cemetery refers to possibilities that never had the opportunity to live: unwritten work, unexplored curiosity, risks not taken and ideas abandoned through years of adaptation. Creativity here extends beyond artistic professions. It becomes the willingness to participate consciously in one’s own existence.
Part of EXISTENTIAL OBSERVATIONS and Margarita Ceko’s ongoing examination of education, social systems, identity and human behaviour.
