DOMESTIC BLISS

DOMESTIC BLISS is a sculptural observation of the image of family happiness and the reality that can exist behind it.

The work draws on the familiar social performance of the happy household: the version presented, admired and expected. Its exaggerated figures turn that ideal into something psychologically charged, allowing affection, tension, absurdity and discomfort to occupy the same domestic space.

Part of Margarita Ceko’s broader examination of human behaviour and social roles, DOMESTIC BLISS treats family life as a place where public image and private experience can become very different stories.
